Tsavo East ist the greater part of tsavo national park, but the landscape is less diversified. Here is it much dryer than Tsavo West. Located 333 km from Nairobi, the Tsavo East National Park is one of the largest national parks in Kenya. It covers an area of about 11,747 square kilometers. The park contains some fantastic terrain, including rivers, lakes, tarns, glaciers, peaks with a wide variety of vegetation, including grasslands, acacia vegetation, open plains and savanna. It is therefore recognized as one of the world's leading bio-diversity strongholds.
Tsavo and Galana River cut the park into three regions. One part is not accessible for tourists. Tsavo East is recommended for photographers with its fabulous light and unbelievable views.
No fear, there are more than this 9 animalsÖ
In Tsavo East you already find the big five (lion, elephant, rhino, buffalo
and leopard). During the raining season, you have to search them, because of the
high grass and the green bushes. Unfortunately we donít find lions!!
But friendís of us saw them during a One-day-safari with Ken........thanks to Ursula and Salva
